Tomorrow is the Prince's first day working back in the home office of his contracting firm, and we are all kinds of nervous about it.

They still haven't secured a contract for him yet, but the company has three possible positions up in the air. One the Prince just really doesn't want... it sounds like very high stress, and doesn't utilize at all his programming talents. From everything he's heard about the job, he's not really qualified for what they want him to do. Yet his company seems to be pushing hard for this one for some reason, and he's a little worried they're going to be willing to take him on in spite of his lack of qualifications. I have little doubt he'd be ABLE to get up to speed fairly quickly... he's an incredibly smart guy and he's taught himself plenty of stuff on the fly in the past. Trouble is, he really just doesn't WANT this job... but he's afraid to turn it down if it's offered, partly for fear of pissing off his company and partly because he's worried it may be the ONLY offer. He interviewed for it over a week ago and still hasn't heard anything, so we don't know if that's good or bad. We're just hoping they aren't interested and his consulting company will go on to find him something else.

There are two more possibilities... one is still not quite up his alley but much less stressful than the above job; and another is much better suited, and if he got that one, he'd be working 15 minutes away at the company office for the duration of the project. THAT's the one he really wants.

There's also the possibility that all three projects could fall through... but we're not even going to think about that. Oh no we are not.

He's as anxious as he could possibly be over all this, and we're both hopeful and nervous that sometime this week he's going to find out for sure where he'll be working for the foreseeable future.

If there's anyone reading this who would like to pray some prayers, rattle some beads, light a candle or just think some good positive thoughts in our direction, we'd be much obliged.
