I have always heard that vodka has no carbs. :) Mix it in with the diet drink of your choosing, and there you go. It's best to keep it just an occasional treat though, as it will slow down the weight loss nonetheless. (My experience, anyways.)

hi, i'm not exactly an expert, so of course, i am offering my two cents. i know the atkins diet is called "the drinking man's diet" b/c he allows you all the clear liquor (like vodka and gin) that you want. calories from alcohol are okay for dr. atkins. it's the carbohydrates he opposes. the south beach diet is focused on foods that are good for you so they like you to have a little red wine. mmm, wine.

Weight Watcher's says Crystal Light Lemonade mixes are zero points, so to mix it with vodka seems a better bet than beer. Cheers :)

aimee, you don't mind if we use your comments section as a message board, do you? no? great. and thanks! cat, funny you should mention crystal light and vodka. it's what my friends and i drank in high school. well, what we drank was whatever liquor anyone had mixed with whatever mixer anyone had. but often, that was vodka and crystal light. the green crystal light was my favorite.
