I would say something along the lines of "sing it!" but I'm just too fucking tired and depressed to muster the enthusiasm, and it would sound entirely too cheerful to fit with the entry anyway. So just know that I agree. Of course, you knew that to begin with.

Well said. Doesn't it blow. My idiot stepson who doesn't care about polittics said this morning, "There's not gonna be a draft, there's plenty of people in the military". And that's why I know a guy who's going to Iraq for his 3rd tour? (I don't remember if this is part of what I actually managed to post in my journal today and I apologize if you just read it a second time). I still can't fucking believe it. God bless America...we're gonna need it.

That was really well said. It's good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way.

All of this doom and gloom. I voted for 20 years before my candidate of choice was elected. And by the way, I do care about life, all life. I care about the people who were blown out of their buildings on 9/11 and I do care about our troops and I thank God for every one of them. They are doing what they signed up to do, you know. They were not drafted. Anyway, it's hard to be slandered because people did not get their candidate. Just over 1/2 of this country voted their conscience, some really thought, some just pulled a lever, and please don't tell me that no Democrat ever did that. I don't think that only the people who voted against Bush have intellect. Or a heart.
